Password safety is important; everyone please update your passwords by the end of the month. Even you, Leon. You can’t keep using the 9th song from that one specific Grateful Dead concert in Uniondale in the ‘80s.

We’re not sure yet. Can you guys handle the FRT table on your own?

The discovery of Substance-0340 in 1984 was the first documented observation of a psychic energy consuming organism (Clyde et al., 1985). Advancements in the core technology of the LGSD-T5640 (Gadrian Research Group) have since enabled further study of the commensalist relationships between Substance-0340 and it's subatomic surroundings. Within the ecosystem surrounding Substance-0340, we report the first observation of a tardigrade-like, psychophagic microorganism, described here as L. Genus.

Morphologically, the L. Genus organism shares similarities with the extinct genus of tardigrades Paradoryphoribius, displaying bilateral symmetry with size typically ranging from 0.5-1 micrometers in length and 0.1-0.2 micrometers in diameter. Defining characteristics include the presence of two cerebral appendages, four legs, a terminal buccopharyngeal apparatus, and two simple eye spots that are primarily responsive to the resonant frequencies emitted by Substance-0340.

Following the ingestion of Substance-0340, the body of L. Genus becomes covered in fluffy filaments, altering it's primary shape from elongated to spherical. To date, we have identified five distinct isoforms (Figure 1), distinguished primarily by the morphology of their cerebral appendages.

Foraging observations of the L. Genus organism confirmed that it is heterotrophic and psychophagic, with exclusive feeding on individual cells of the multicellular Substance-0340 organism. Feeding by L. Genus does not cause significant or long term harm to Substance-0340, leading us to classify it as a commensal instead of a parasitic organism.

Most notably, population sizes of L. Genus grew exponentially in the presence of Substance-0340. Concomitant with this population growth, another resonant frequency was detected that is similar but distinct from the frequency of Substance-0340 (data not shown, patent pending). We hypothesize that this frequency corresponds to a catabolic byproduct emitted by the L. Genus organism. The unique properties of this waste material are amenable to its use as an alternative energy source, pending appropriate methods to harvest and process the waste at scale.
